Happy Anniversary!

It's hard to believe that it's been seven years since we gathered on September 1st just outside of Baltimore with a bunch of friends and family to say I do! Thank you for being so supportive for the best seven years but most importantly thank you for being there for the challenges of them.

We haven't been blogging much due to being in a doldrum for a while. I haven't had much luck with finding a job but thankfully Abi's job in the furniture industry is going great. She's been labeled by the big wigs in her company as their "All-Star". In fact my job searching frustrations have lead me to make a change in directions with my career to pursue a career as a Paralegal. In December I will complete a program from Guilford College that will allow me to make this career change.

Several years ago we started the adoption process and had to put it on hold. We are finally ready to get going again and will be starting paperwork soon. Please stay tuned. Our dog, Maggie, is constantly begging for a kid to play with since we refuse to get a second dog.

For our third anniversary I got Abi a new mattress. This year's anniversary should certainly one up that. Because yesterday we put an offer for our first house. After realizing that we love everything about living in the Piedmont Triad region of NC.  We have decided that it's time to make it permanent.  The house we hope to buy was built in the 1960's just outside of Jamestown next to the  Grandover resort. Abi has always wanted a house with character and personality. This place has it and Maggie with have about a half acre fenced in yard to play in. The property is settled on one acre which means that will have to learn how to take care of yard. Please say a prayer that it'll work out. If this house doesn't work, we will keep looking and hopefully have a new house soon. We have been blessed to rent a great town home from an awesome landlord but its time to make some changes in life.
